How do I get started with Lightbeam?

Sign up at your organization's Lightbeam URL, or ask your administrator for an invite. You can sign in with email/password or SSO (Google, Okta, Azure AD) if your organization has it configured.

I can't sign in with SSO. What should I check?

Verify your organization has SSO configured correctly. The redirect URI in your IdP must exactly match your Lightbeam API callback URL. Ensure your email domain is allowed and that you have a valid organization membership. Contact your org admin or us for help.

How do I set up push notifications on mobile?

Install the Lightbeam app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), sign in, and ensure notifications are enabled for the app in your device settings. Push tokens are registered automatically when you sign in.

Who manages users and organizations?

Organization admins can invite members, configure SSO, set up on-call schedules, and manage directory entries. Contact your org admin for access changes.

Can we use our own database?

Yes. Organizations can configure a tenant-hosted PostgreSQL database so your incident and directory data stays on your infrastructure. This requires database configuration and migration setup.

What happens if I forget my password?

Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page. If your organization uses SSO only, you'll need to sign in through your IdP. Contact support if you're locked out.
